Dear President Trump,

Vulnerable minorities in Burma are under attack, and it is the duty of America to act.

The Burmese military is on the rampage, bombing churches, burning mosques, destroying Christian homes, and raping Christian and Muslim women in Kachin, Rakhine, and elsewhere. The goal of the Burmese military leaders has been clear: slaughter anyone not like them.  What has occurred there is genocide.

3 million Christians, Muslims, and other minorities are now left to suffer from one of the world’s most unaccountable and murderous regimes. Thousands have died in bombings and attacks against them carried out by the Myanmar military. They are targeted for their minority beliefs.

The world has stood and watched the horror that is taking place in Burma.

Mr. President, it is time for America to lead. It is time to remind the world that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.  The Burmese military must be stopped by reimposing strong sanctions to compel them to come to the negotiating table.

Support the Bamboo Project

First they faced a genocide. Now they face cyclones.

The stick and plastic shacks on hilly slopes are highly susceptible to landslides, floods and diseases that will follow. This looming disaster is compounded by the fast paced deforestation. Since Rohingyas are neither allowed to work, nor they are provided any fuel to cook, they are forced to cut trees for fuel. About 4 football fields size of forest is consumed every day. This fast pace deforestation is creating more risks of landslides, flooding, and reduction in underground water.

Experts Believe Bamboo is the Solution
